The Process of Getting a Scuba Diving Certification.

In case you want to be a certified scuba diver, you should focus on getting a good diving school to get training. The school should be one whose curriculum is based with a scuba training agency that is recognized. The agencies have a role of certifying scuba divers. They also represent diving professionals and operators alongside promoting the marine sport and environment.
Upon successfully completing your training, you will be certified as a professional scuba diver. After this, you will get a scuba diving license. The license will allow you to rent out scuba equipment and be in a position to dive along with other diver operators.

There are different scuba certification agencies, and it is good to understand that each agency has its own diving approaches. On the other hand, renowned agencies provide similar training meant for recreational scuba. These agencies also recognize each Other’s certifications.

Training starts with theory, and then moves on to the confined water training. A test is done after the confined water training where if someone passes, they proceeds to the final training phase, which is open water training.

The theory part.
The theory part entails learning about scuba diving techniques as well as basic scuba concepts. This part will introduce you to lessons on scuba diving. You will get a brief on scuba safety practices. The theory lessons will also get you learning about different scuba hand signals, which you can make use of as a means of underwater communication.

On theory, you will get introduced to different diving equipment that you will use with time. Reading textbooks at this stage will help you understand the relationship between pressure and depth. In addition, you will learn about dive tables, how to plan a dive, and how to maintain your scuba equipment.

Confined water training.
This makes the second phase of scuba diving training. This is the part of your training that you will get a chance to breathe while you are underwater. The sessions here will aim at training you on how best to use your equipment, and practice buoyancy as well as surfacing skills. On this part, there are a lot of skills to practice and learn. This will give you several practicing sessions.

The next thing to do after completing theory and confined water training will be doing a test that takes you to the final part which is open water training.

This is the final part of the training program. This is the place where your scuba diving skills will be tested. You will have the scuba diving session alongside the instructor who is training you. You will do this until you are fully confident that you can get into a real diving situation.
